Paper books will, no doubt, always occupy a place in readers’ hearts and on their shelves. But more and more people are attracted to the convenience of eMedia, and convenience is one of the hallmarks of our digital age. Today any number of highly portable, highly mobile devices can download and store multitudes of eMedia files to read or listen to with a mere click of a button or a tap on a touchscreen.

Many libraries, including Douglas County Libraries, offer downloadable eBooks in different formats that can be downloaded directly to computers and portable devices or downloaded and transferred to many other devices.
